We set out to prove that nothing compares to Moen. This work put Moen’s commitment to quality on full display with head-to-head tests against look-alike faucets. Each test literally dismantled the competition, revealing the hidden flaws of the “dupes” and showing why Moen’s design, durability, and engineering comes out on top.
This campaign was a completely new territory for the brand, they had never shot anything in their Moen lab before. The messaging approach was equally as fresh, requiring us to invent new ways to capture tests that felt on brand and visually distinct. We maximized each shot and designed assets to work across stills, video, paid, organic, and multiple platforms to ensure the longevity of the campaign and it’s reach.
Finish Corrosion Test
Dupes might shine at first, but steam and daily sprays take their toll. Moen is tested beyond industry standards to stay looking new, wash after wash.
Pulldown Test
Moen puts their faucets through the same motions you do, pulling and retracting again and again (and again). Moen passes with ease. The dupe? It failed before reaching 3% of the full test, losing its ability to fully retract almost immediately.
Handle Durability Test
A faucet handle gets turned an average of 267 times a week—so Moen tests for that and more, simulating years of use. The dupes handle only lasted 2% of the test before it snapped and started leaking, while the Moen handle kept turning like new.

From dropped pans to accidental smacks, faucets take a beating. Moen recreates real-life moments by dropping heavy weights on Moen faucets and dupes—heavier than industry standards. Dupes cracked and failed, while Moen held strong.
