In the US someone loses their life to suicide every 11 minutes, making it the 11th leading cause of death nationwide. We transformed Havas Chicago’s front lobby into the 11 Minutes Funeral Home. This display was a memorial to the lives lost to suicide and was intended to normalize the conversation around suicide prevention. By avoiding tough convesations, we force ourselves to make even tougher decisions, from writing an obituary to choosing a casket, picking out floral arrangements, notifying family members, and so much more. Through open and honest communication, together we can work together to make this 11 minutes statistic a thing of the past.
